While technically the games are not being “blacked out”, not being able to watch the Packer games in my region feels that way to me, so I apologize if you don’t like my terminology. To see the rules on which games are shown, check out the506.com/nflmaps. Special thanks to James H. for providing me with that link and most of the below information.
The below is a listing of all Green Bay Packers games that will not be shown in the Twin Cities metro / Western Wisconsin regions in 2012 per NFL TV rules:
Week 5: Sun, Oct 7 @ Indianapolis Colts 12:00 pm on FOX [Vikings @ 3:25 pm on CBS, at home. Could air on KMSP only if Vikings vs. Tennessee gets blacked out]
Week 7: Sun, Oct 21 @ St. Louis Rams 12:00 pm on FOX [Vikings @ noon on FOX, at home. Will air instead if Vikings vs. Arizona if the game gets blacked out.]
Week 9: Sun, Nov 4 vs. Arizona Cardinals 12:00 pm on FOX [Although Packers play at Noon & Vikings are at 3:05, CBS has the Doubleheader that week so the Packer game cannot be televised by KMSP)]
Week 15: Sun, Dec 16 @ Chicago Bears 12:00 pm on FOX [Vikings @ noon on FOX (same time & network)]
Week 16 (maybe): Sun, Dec 23 vs. Tennessee Titans 12:00 pm on CBS [Although they’re on different networks, CBS will most likely not allow WCCO to air a game in the same timeslot as the Vikings on a singleheader week. Fox has the Doubleheader]
Good luck Twin Cities and Western Wisconsin Packer fans, and GO PACK!
Kevin
