The Green Bay Packers will beat the Seahawks tomorrow night. Yes, it may be just a hunch, but everybody with a lonely half brain knew after the Seahawks won the Super Bowl that the Packers were heading to Seattle on opening night. The Packers have been preparing ever since.
What worries me the most is if the Packers lose. How do I deal with that? The Packers entire offseason was positive. From Aaron Rodgers return to health, the young players taking the next step, and even a free agent signing, the Packers have been gearing up for this game.
Yes, there is the J.C. Tretter injury that is certainly a factor, but when the Packers drafted Corey Linsley last May I thought he had a great chance to be the Packers’ starting center with the loss of Evan Dietrich-Smith and the unknown quantity Tretter. Linsley is a beast strength wise and has been a starting center for the last 26 games he played at OSU. He’ll be fine.
I may be drinking the Kool-Aid but I think the Packers’ no-huddle offense and perceived improved defense will be a shock to the Seahawks. The Seattle trash talk started a little this week and I think they think this a cakewalk, after all the Packers were only 8-7-1 last year.
It will be tough, don’t get me wrong, but Packers win 20-10.
