Two years in a row they win the division title on the last game. Not too shabby. But now I have to got buy the hat and shirt. Damn!
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 29, 2014
In fact, I am a @Lions fan as of right now. Beat Dallas!
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 29, 2014
What a great day to be at @LambeauField. Now kick back and relax. Dallas, Arizona or Carolina will be the next game in two weeks.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 29, 2014
Not a dominating performance, but a great win to earn a division title and a playoff bye.
— Kevin Roth (@rothkj1022) December 29, 2014
NFC playoffs: No. 1 seed – Seahawks (bye) 2 – #Packers (bye) 6 Lions @ 3 Cowboys 5 Cardinals @ 4 Panthers
— Paul Imig (@Paulimig) December 29, 2014
Mike Daniels sacks Matthew Stafford. Note, he does not stomp on his ankle.
— Ryan Wood (@ByRyanWood) December 29, 2014
MVP chants abound at Lambeau field via @dragonflyhotwir
— Kevin Roth (@rothkj1022) December 29, 2014
If @AaronRodgers12 is not MVP I don't know who is? Love what J.J. @JJWatt has done but AR is the best player in the league.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 29, 2014
So, next weekend in the NFC will be Detroit @ Dallas, and Arizona @ Carolina.
— Marques Eversoll (@MJEversoll) December 29, 2014
And there's your dagger. Packers recover on-side kick and will run out the clock now for the win!
— Kevin Roth (@rothkj1022) December 29, 2014
Short of the goal line for Bell. No good. That means it's 30-20 #Packers. Still a two-score game. #DETvsGB
— Green Bay Packers (@packers) December 29, 2014
After further review, the Lions still suck!
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 29, 2014
Wow. Sorry I jumped the gun. Lions might get one more shot.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 29, 2014
Joique Bell is in for the 2-point conversation but Clay Matthews disagrees. Points to the video monitor. They'll review this one.
— Tyler Dunne (@TyDunne) December 29, 2014
Seahawks game has gone final, and Seattle has won to lock up No. 1 seed in NFC. With win, #Packers will be No. 2. #DETvsGB
— Green Bay Packers (@packers) December 29, 2014
2-minute warning from Lambeau Field, #Packers lead 30-14. Lions in red zone. #DETvsGB
— Green Bay Packers (@packers) December 29, 2014
I can't believe it! I love being wrong. Packers will play in Lambeau in two weeks. Could very well be the Lions. We did a good thing today.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 29, 2014
Intentional grounding on Stafford in the end zone. Safety for #Packers. #DETvsGB
— Green Bay Packers (@packers) December 29, 2014
That might have been the funniest thing I have ever seen! The punt and the penalty.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 29, 2014
I think I would go for it. I don't trust our special teams.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 29, 2014
Here's the video of Suh / Rodgers … RT @Judson1360 http://t.co/b8fMmeiNFm
— Paul Imig (@Paulimig) December 29, 2014
Intentional, or accidental? And if it's not Suh, are we even wondering? pic.twitter.com/nxFeDyXAfg
— Jason Wilde (@jasonjwilde) December 29, 2014
Suh steps on Rodgers' ankle TWICE and then stands on it for a few seconds. Dirtiest players in the NFL. pic.twitter.com/ytaVvEeXw9
— Kevin Roth (@rothkj1022) December 29, 2014
Suh may have accidentally wound up on Rodgers's leg, but he sure didn't seem to be in a hurry to get off
— Chris Roth (@rothchris) December 29, 2014
Suh just stepped on the Baaaaaaddddd Man's leg on purpose. And Detroit's about to pay for that. Mark it down.
— Stephen A Smith (@stephenasmith) December 29, 2014
A first down or two here would go a long way.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 29, 2014
Another way to look at the MVP race… With Aaron Rodgers in the game, #Packers lead Lions 28-0. With Rodgers out, Packers trail Lions 14-0.
— Ryan Wood (@ByRyanWood) December 29, 2014
The crowd has to do it now. It's up to the 78,000 in attendance to win this game. Get Loud Lambeau!
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 29, 2014
The touchdown stands. Move over Greg Jennings. Aaron Rodgers is putting the team on his back tonight.
— Wes Hodkiewicz (@WesHod) December 29, 2014
Jordy Nelson kept that ball. He just broke the single season receiving yards record of R.Brooks… 1,504 for Jordy.
— Bill Rabeor (@Rabes44) December 28, 2014
Touchdown #Packers, 1-yd sneak by Rodgers. #DETvsGB pic.twitter.com/PeZnCnYqxA
— Green Bay Packers (@packers) December 29, 2014
Hope it doesn't get overturned. Looked like Bart Starr there!
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 29, 2014
#Packers TE Richard Rodgers now has 4 catches for 37 yards today. Not bad for the third-round rookie.
— Ryan Wood (@ByRyanWood) December 28, 2014
Joique Bell fumbles, Morgan Burnett recovers. Lambeau Field exhales.
— Marques Eversoll (@MJEversoll) December 28, 2014
I have to laugh. The easiest thing to do on a field goal is block. It's McCarthy's fault for trusting his special teams. Nobody to blame.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
Blocked again! Slocum is a joke! Five guys could have blocked that one. McCarthy's faith in Slocum probably cost him a division title.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
The SEVENTH blocked kick of the season for the #Packers.
— Paul Imig (@Paulimig) December 28, 2014
Can the Packers' defense win it? That is the question. No confidence in Crosby here.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
Entering fourth quarter, #Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is 11 of 14 for 169 yards with two TDs, no INTs for a 156.5 rating. (158.3 is perfect.)
— Jason Wilde (@jasonjwilde) December 28, 2014
And that's it for the 3rd quarter. Packers 21-14 and driving at the Lions 36 with a 2nd and 8.
— Bill Michaels (@Bill_Michaels) December 28, 2014
Still have the lead after three. I'll take it. Even though I'm still not overly confident.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
You can't fumble when you are already down.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
Stranger things have happened, but I doubt they overturn this.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
Lacy rolling on ground after diving catch, Levy hits him and ball comes out, but Lacy ruled down. 1st down #Packers. #DETvsGB
— Green Bay Packers (@packers) December 28, 2014
Good 3 and out by the Packers D. Short punt.
— Bill Michaels (@Bill_Michaels) December 28, 2014
Hayward almost gets the INT on 3rd down pass for Bush. Lions have to punt. #DETvsGB
— Green Bay Packers (@packers) December 28, 2014
Another special teams gaffe!!!!! Un-fn-believable! The guy must be working for the mob.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
Incredible drive by the Packers and a clearly injured Aaron Rodgers. We still have a chance!
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
Aaron Rodgers just threw a touchdown pass, pretty much on one leg, to give the #Packers the lead again. MVP?
— Paul Imig (@Paulimig) December 28, 2014
Touchdown #Packers, 13-yd pass to Cobb. #DETvsGB pic.twitter.com/GBJbFSvcP3
— Green Bay Packers (@packers) December 28, 2014
Rodgers 1st pass of 2nd half is a zinger to Cobb over the middle for 29 yards. 1st down in red zone. #DETvsGB
— Green Bay Packers (@packers) December 28, 2014
Now Lacy is banged up. We could really use this first-round bye.
— Kevin Roth (@rothkj1022) December 28, 2014
It appears that Aaron Rodgers will be returning to the game when the Packers start out on offense next series. Tied at 14-14.
— Tom Silverstein (@TomSilverstein) December 28, 2014
Well, Packers can't stop them anymore, can Rodgers come back? Drama in Lambeau.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
Rodgers strokes dude's beard for good luck. pic.twitter.com/yY3AdoNAdS
— Kevin Roth (@rothkj1022) December 28, 2014
Lions finding their rhythm on offense. Crowd not a factor.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
Nope. Shoot. Got to hold them to three now.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
Yet another third down. Defense needs to get off the field.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
Rodgers went over to McCarthy after he was throwing on the sidelines. Looked to say "I'm good". pic.twitter.com/gWnU5xIiIz
— Bill Michaels (@Bill_Michaels) December 28, 2014
Rodgers just cleaned his cleats on the sideline. Now over with offensive linemen, stretching. Meanwhile, Lions on move. #Packers
— Jason Wilde (@jasonjwilde) December 28, 2014
Aaron Rodgers warming up on the sideline now. pic.twitter.com/RGnSqnUFmL
— Tyler Dunne (@TyDunne) December 28, 2014
Rodgers walking on his own and returns to the sideline. Not limping.
— Tyler Dunne (@TyDunne) December 28, 2014
Horrible punt as Rodgers walks back on the field. Flynn's three play stint didn't instill much confidence. But really, what a horrible punt!
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
Rodgers in the tunnel stretching out. That's a good sign. pic.twitter.com/ls1TeCJkKV
— Kevin Roth (@rothkj1022) December 28, 2014
#Packers don't need 480-yard, six-touchdown Matt Flynn in the second half, but they do need the guy who led them to two victories last year.
— Jason Wilde (@jasonjwilde) December 28, 2014
If the Packers win this one, they might go far. It's Flynn to start the half.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
Rams lead Seattle 6-0 at half. If Rams and Packers both win, Packers lock up #1 seed for the playoffs.
— Kevin Roth (@rothkj1022) December 28, 2014
Watch Matt Flynn's record setting performance on 1/1/2012 vs. Detroit: http://t.co/rV2BzqaxzB
— Kevin Roth (@rothkj1022) December 28, 2014
@TomOatesWSJ Forgetting that debacle in Detroit, yes.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
Let's not forget what Matt Flynn was able to do against this very team almost exactly 3 years ago: http://t.co/2cMiOuFgwI
— Kevin Roth (@rothkj1022) December 28, 2014
@Schmidt_RB I know. Thankfully most of the time I'm wrong. Too emotional I agree.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
As indicated after AARON RODGERS got hurt last week, calf injuries can linger and get worse. http://t.co/ajQrWkzMSk See #MMMD1 @RobDemovsky
— David J. Chao, MD (@ProFootballDoc) December 28, 2014
RT @PGevansiegle: #Packers' Aaron Rodgers grimaces as he's carted off the field. #NFL pic.twitter.com/lgHW7xaXeG
— Jason Wilde (@jasonjwilde) December 28, 2014
When Rodgers went down you clearly saw the Lions with a "new energy" on their sidelines. That drive proved it and it deflates the Packers
— Bill Michaels (@Bill_Michaels) December 28, 2014
@Schmidt_RB I have to call it as I see it.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
Jones cost the Packers at least four points. And with Flynn coming in. It's over. If anything changes I'll chime back in.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
Aaron Rodgers has a calf injury. His return is questionable. #DETvsGB
— Green Bay Packers (@packers) December 28, 2014
The whole team is in shock now. Not looking good.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
Would be nice to get Flynn a few snaps before halftime.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
Can Flynn lead them to the division title? We are about to find out. Rodgers is done for the day.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
It was a calf injury to Rodgers. He's listed as questionable to return but he's done for the day.
— Bill Michaels (@Bill_Michaels) December 28, 2014
2-minute warning in 1st half from Lambeau, #Packers lead 14-0. Lions have 2nd & 10 on own 23. #DETvsGB
— Green Bay Packers (@packers) December 28, 2014
Rogers didn't even stop to be examined. He knows it. It's not good fans. He was wincing in pain.
— Bill Michaels (@Bill_Michaels) December 28, 2014
#Packers 14, #Lions 0. Rodgers down. Lambeau silent.
— Marques Eversoll (@MJEversoll) December 28, 2014
It's cold, but if you don't think your kicker can make a 49-yarder in 2014 and you contemplate going on fourth-and-10, you have problems.
— Jason Wilde (@jasonjwilde) December 28, 2014
Packers defense has been bending…please don't break. Now would be a great time for a turnover.
— Kevin Roth (@rothkj1022) December 28, 2014
Burnett and Richardson can't bring Bell down in the backfield. Instead goes 6 yards for a first down
— Wes Hodkiewicz (@WesHod) December 28, 2014
Packers' defense failing again in a big game. I like our chances in Dallas.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
#Packers the better team thusfar. But goal-to-go failure and now Lacy's post-spin fumble keeping Lions right there. Pesky.
— Jason Wilde (@jasonjwilde) December 28, 2014
Gotta hang onto that ball. pic.twitter.com/kEb2FOst38
— Kevin Roth (@rothkj1022) December 28, 2014
Hard to believe, but that was my gut feeling today. Turnovers would kill us.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
Eddie Lacy had a crushing fumble in #Packers' loss at Detroit in September. That one hurt pretty bad, too.
— Ryan Wood (@ByRyanWood) December 28, 2014
Eddie Lacy has been great at keeping plays alive without fumbling in his career. Coughs it up there to derail what was a 68-yard drive.
— Tyler Dunne (@TyDunne) December 28, 2014
This is more like the Packers' offense. Need to score though.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
For the third straight week the Packers' passing offense looks off. Quick three and out here.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
Suh almost intercepts Aaron Rodgers near the goal line. Close one. #Packers
— Paul Imig (@Paulimig) December 28, 2014
Huge stop, but offense better do something.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
At the end of the first quarter, Aaron Rodgers is 0-for-2 passing and the #Packers got stuffed on 4th-and-goal. Yet, the Packers lead.
— Paul Imig (@Paulimig) December 28, 2014
Now we have to hold them to three. Defense getting shredded.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
Lions coming alive now. Need a big play. Crowd not load enough.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
GREAT play by Williams breaking up the pass to Johnson.
— Bill Michaels (@Bill_Michaels) December 28, 2014
Thought that flag was on us for sure. Wow!
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
Touchdown #Packers, Hyde returns the punt to the house. #DETvsGB pic.twitter.com/Sb2xGIusfo
— Green Bay Packers (@packers) December 28, 2014
And we even made an extra point. Unbelievable!
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
Holy cow! No flags on the field. Slocum gets an extension.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
Defense if fired up, but we should have took the three.
— Al Davis (@packernet) December 28, 2014
It's a lot harder to run against Detroit's defense inside the 5-yard line, but four plays from the 1? #Packers gotta get a yard at home.
— Ryan Wood (@ByRyanWood) December 28, 2014
Should have took the three. Being aggressive is one thing but in a game like this points are at a premium. Bad call by McCarthy.
#Packers had four plays to get in the end zone from the 1-yard line and couldn't score.
— Paul Imig (@Paulimig) December 28, 2014
Wow. Eddie Lacy stuffed on fourth and goal. Four plays at the 1-yard line net zero yards. Lions take over.
— Tyler Dunne (@TyDunne) December 28, 2014
Just what I expected today. Going to be a long day for the passing game. On to Dallas.
Packers can’t score in the red zone anymore. What the hell? Why not keep running it?
Lions defense allows 63 rushing yards per game. Eddie Lacy picks up 22 yards on the #Packers first offensive play of the game.
— Paul Imig (@Paulimig) December 28, 2014
Matthew Stafford holds onto the ball as Clay Matthews crushes him for a third-down sack. Lions will punt. #Packers
— Paul Imig (@Paulimig) December 28, 2014
#Packers open defensively in nickel. Clay Matthews at ILB, Nick Perry at ROLB. Then Green Bay goes to base on 2nd down.
— Paul Imig (@Paulimig) December 28, 2014
Lions call tails, it's heads. #Packers defer to second half.
— Paul Imig (@Paulimig) December 28, 2014
Aaron Rodgers enters today's game w/ a 7.20 TD/INT ratio. Only twice in #NFL history has a QB w/ 30+ TD passes had a TD/INT ratio that high
— STATS (@STATS_NFL) December 28, 2014
Kickoff is just minutes away. Time to get LOUD! #DETvsGB #GetLoudLambeau pic.twitter.com/s67bxyb2iJ
— Green Bay Packers (@packers) December 28, 2014
Three hours until kickoff and I just can’t help but feel this could be a long cold night for the Packers. If the game started at noon it would have been a beautiful day in Lambeau Field. Instead, with clear skies the temperature will drop rapidly when the sun goes down shortly after kickoff. With it I think will go the Packers’ division title hopes. The Lions’ defense gives the Packers fits and they will extend their winning streak over the Packers to three with a 23-20 victory and celebrate winning the division title on our turf. Uugh!
