Packers hit new low in McCarthy era

What a joke this Green Bay Packers’ season has become. After a 6-0 start they have turned into the worst team in the league after getting beat today by the previous worst team in the league. It’s time for change in Green Bay, but that obviously won’t happen until after the Packers have completed the most embarrassing season in league history. From 6-0 to out of the playoffs.

I said it all offseason, the Packers had their chance last year and they blew it. Now it’s time for a correction. With any luck the Packers will go 6-10 and get top ten draft pick next spring. The question is, who should be making that pick? Is it time for a complete changing of the guard after yet another disappointing season since winning the Super Bowl in 2010? I think so.

Head coach Mike McCarthy’s offseason coaching moves have been a complete disaster. Play caller Tom Clements has been nothing short of abysmal and offensive coordinator Edgar Bennett is about as useless as tits on a bull. Defensively Dom Capers’ defense couldn’t stop a nosebleed, which has been the case the last four years. If team president Mark Murphy wants to cement his place in Packers’ history he needs to clean house before he leaves.

Yes, I am calling the 2015 season over and done with. But at least the pressure is off. Now I can just enjoy the games like I did in the 70s and 80s. If the Packers somehow played good and upset somebody, great. If not, as long as they didn’t get blown out, I’m happy.

I do feel bad for Brett Favre and Bart Starr, who have to come up here on Thanksgiving only to see the Packers more than likely lose to the suddenly on fire Chicago Bears. But really, the only thing that can help the Packers is to lose the rest of their games. As Peter Brady said so eloquently, well it’s time to change when it’s time to change. And it’s time to change.
