The Green Bay Packers remarkable run is now one game away from the Super Bowl and has it should, the games get tougher by the week. This week’s opponent, the Atlanta Falcons will be the best team the Packers have played all year. It is going to be an offensive battle the likes of which we have not seen since the Packers lost to Arizona 51-45 on January 10, 2010.
The Packers are riding the hot hand of Aaron Rodgers and patching together just enough defense to win eight straight games. Today they will have to play their best game of the year if they are to come out on top, but even that might not be enough. I think the Packers will need a return TD of some sort, either an interception or a punt or kickoff return. Maybe Jeff Janis can take one the distance, or maybe Randall Cobb on a punt. I just think the Packers’ defense is going to need some help because I don’t see them stopping the Falcons without a turnover.
The team with the ball last will likely be the winner, I’m not going to pick against Rodgers now, Green Bay 42, Atlanta 40. Buckle up!
