The first unofficial tragedy of the 2017 free agency period appears to 26 year old J.C. Tretter. Word on the street is that he has agreed to a contract with the Cleveland Browns. Reports say that the Browns and Tretter have been in talks for weeks.
Although the details of the contract have not been released, the contract is expected to be around $8.5M

Another great 4th round pick by ted Thompson, Tretter played 31 games in his 3 years with the Packers. Tretter was all over the offensive line playing at center, guard, and both tackle positions.
In 2016 Tretter was given a full time gig at the center position after Corey Linsley went down with injury. The Packers, with the help of Tretter, were considered one of the best offensive lines in all of football and were the highest ranked pass blocking unit.
On behalf of all Packers fans, thanks for all you’ve done and good luck.
