Immediately following the fantastic news that Martellus Bennett was signed, some fans started to wonder why they wouldn’t also sign Cook and have a 2 TE duo for rodgers.
Ladies and gentlemen, your prayers have been answered.
One day after signing Martellus Bennett, Packers now bringing former Rams TE Lance Kendricks back to Wisconsin, per @RobDemovsky and me.

Kendricks, 6’3 240 pounds, is a 6 year starter for the Rams. As a starter, Kendricks is shockingly even more reliable than Bennett missing no more than 1 game in each of his 6 years.
As a TE for the Rams, Kendricks caught 204 targets for 2,132 yards and 17 touchdowns. That’s an average of 34 receptions for 355 yards and 3 touchdowns per year.
The pairing couldn’t be much better. Kendricks, the 29 year old Milwaukee Wisconsin native and former Badger will come home to play for a team that loves tight ends and just so happens to have the best quarterback in the NFL. Ya I said it.
Althought the details of the contract aren’t official at this time, we do know that crafty ole Ted was able to snag Kendricks after he was cut. As a result, Kendricks won’t affect the compensatory picks.
From all of us at Packernet, welcome home Lance!
