The Green Bay Packers will try to make it two in a row over NFC North opponents when the Minnesota Vikings come to town Sunday. The Packers would take the early lead in the division with a win. It’s going to be a tall task.
The Vikings rolled over the Falcons last week using an old fashioned running game. Their highly paid quarterback, Kirk Cousins only threw the ball ten times all game. I don’t think they will get away with that against the new Packers’ defense. But forcing Cousins to throw isn’t necessarily a bad thing, he has excellent receivers and put up 22 points in the fourth quarter alone the last time he was in Lambeau.
The Packers offense will be key. They are not going to win this game scoring just 10 points. The Vikings’ defense is right there with the Bears, so it could be tough sledding again. I’ll say they get a couple of TDs this week, but I don’t think it will be enough. Vikings 20, Packers 17.
