The Green Bay Packers are now a stunning 3-0 and have a great chance to go 4-0 with yet another home game against the Eagles. A win would certainly give them a solid cushion in their fight to return to the playoffs after missing out the last two years. They could probably go .500 their last 12 games and still get in.
But beating the Eagles will not be easy. This is a team that won the Super Bowl a couple of years ago and made the playoffs last year. The Eagles are a little banged up but quarterback Carson Wentz is back and healthy and by far the best QB the Packers will have faced thus far. The Packers’ defense is in for a real test I think.
The pressure is really on the Packers’ offense this week. They need to string some drives together and keep the Eagles offense on the bench. Remarkedly, the Packers have only been behind in a game for about three minutes in the opener against the Bears. I got a hunch they will have to play catch this week. Can they do it? Yes they can. But I can’t break the jinx, the jinx has to break me. Eagles 27, Packers 24.
