Well, it’s come down to this. The Green Bay Packers versus the Philadelphia Eagles in the first round of the playoffs. The Eagles has we know, beat the Packers in the season opener 34-29. Both teams have come a long way since then. The Eagles can easily make the case as the best team in the NFC despite the second seed. The Packers have been wildly inconsistent and haven’t played a complete game all year.
Stumbling down the stretch, the Packers have lost two in a row, including one to the lowly Bears of all teams. I can’t see a team that loses to the Bears going very far in the playoffs. The Packers looked checked-out the last two weeks since locking up a playoff spot. Can they just flip the switch and play a great game just like that? That is the question.
I originally was thinking this would be a blowout after that debacle in Lambeau last week, but have grown slightly more confident as the week as progressed. I’m thinking Jalen Hurts might be a little slow starting giving the Packers a chance to hang around instead falling behind big time like they are prone to do. Still, I just can’t see a Packers win. Eagles 31, Packers 21.
