Pressure on as Packers hit the strength of their shedule

The Green Bay Packers will come out of the bye week healthy and ready to rock after a turbulent first nine games that left them at 6-3. I think I had them at 7-2 or something. 6-3 wouldn’t be too bad if not for two of the losses being home losses to division opponents. Which makes Sunday’s game in Chicago all the more important. 0-3 in the division would pretty much end any hope of catching the Lions or maybe even the Vikings.

The Packers will be facing a Bears team about as desperate for a win as any team can be. They are in complete disarray with a head coach who will surely be fired after the season and who just fired his offensive coordinator. The Bears haven’t scored a touchdown in three weeks but I bet you right now they score a TD the first time they get the ball. That’s how the Packers roll.

But it will be short-lived hysteria for the Bears. The Packers will withstand an early onslaught and pull away for a 27-14 win. At least they had better. A loss and they are in deep excrement.
