It has been a long time since the Green Bay Packers were not the favorite to win the NFC North division. This year it is clearly the Minnesota Vikings, at least one would think. The Vikings have won two of the last three division titles and think they finally have a quarterback in Kirk Cousins. I think this is going to be a very tough division to win this year.
The Vikings won the division with ease last year because of the injury to Aaron Rodgers. They do seem to have all the pieces in place to continue to dominate the division. A great defense and now a franchise quarterback to go with it. That is, if you think Cousins is a franchise quarterback. I do not. I think it would be wise to visit sports at kroon casino and put your money on the Green Bay Packers. Rodgers is about to be the NFL’s highest paid player and the Packers have overhauled their franchise after last year’s debacle. It’s now or never.
But the Packers and Vikings are not the only teams in the division. Two teams with new coaches think they will have something to say about the proceedings before everything is said and done. The Chicago Bears have a franchise QB and and new offensive minded coach in Matt Nagy. In addition to Mitchell Trubisky, the Bears have a quality defense under defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. But for me, I think the Bears still don’t have enough weapons of quality for Trubisky. Allen Robinson is not the answer.
The Detroit Lions are going to be the hard one to predict. I think the Bears will be better in Trubisky’s second season and a new offense more catered to him. I have to say I don’t know what to expect out of the Lions with new coach Matt Patricia. Not much changed roster-wise as far as big moves, but quarterback Matthew Stafford is still a force to be reckoned with. But like the Bears, I don’t think they have quite enough talent to actually win the division.
So maybe upon further review, it is a two-team division. But this is the NFC North. Anything can happen and usually does. My biased opinion is Cousins is over rated, has never won a thing. The Lions are the Lions, and the Bears are a year away. The Packers will win the division.
